"This band came at us totally out of left field and it was a hell of a nice surprise. Pocket Size Stockholm is the brainchild of guitarist Peter Pedersen. Apparently he has a revolving cast of musicians for the various PSS releases.

This one involves a total of nine different people. The album has a strong retro vibe. Its obvious that Pedersen is influenced by 70s British prog as well as the bands from his native Sweden. Think of a mash up of Gong, King Crimson, Soft Machine, VDGG, Hansson & Karlsson, and Trettioariga Kriget. Pedersen's guitar stands out throughout but there is extensive Hammond organ on every track. The instrumentation is of the "let's throw in the kitchen sink" variety - sax, vibes, and even theremin are here, burbling their way through the mix. Some tracks feature English vocals, some sung in Swedish, and you get instrumentals as well.

As a credit to Pedersen the whole thing is pulled together and the tracks are tightly woven. The influences are apparent and may change from track to track but the album as a whole seems very cohesive.

 Highly recommended."

"Swedish prog/psych that's bound to appeal to fans of King Crimson, Zappa and Yes. Killer guitar work, tasteful use of theremin and really strong all they way. Listen to "Halo" and "Pickle guys".

Includes CD with a couple of tracks that didn't fit on the vinyl as well."

"As my pal Ken rightly pointed out, this has a strong, interesting retro vibe that combines early 70s Vertigo Swirl proto-prog, early UK prog and 70s Swedish prog. Think H to HE VDGG (instrumentally), Raw Material, Hansson & Karlsson, Trettioariga Kriget, Cressida, etc. all smooshed together in a very attractive way. If you dig the early UK and Swedish sound, you'll dig this megatime."
